Tickow stores your notes, planner entries, drawings, selected background photo, timer and stopwatch state, and app preferences on your device. It does not send this content to a developer-operated server. The app contains no advertising, user tracking, or third-party analytics tools.
iCloud sync is off by default. If you enable it in settings, notes, planner text and drawings, your selected background photo, and appearance preferences are stored in your Apple Account’s private CloudKit database and transferred to your devices using the same account. The developer cannot access this private content through the developer portal. This content is not shared with other users. Storage counts toward your iCloud quota.
Device preferences such as language, clock size and dimming, running timers and stopwatches, and purchase access are not part of this sync. If your Apple Account changes, content associated with the previous account is not automatically uploaded to the new account.
Sync runs while the app is open; offline changes wait on your device. Turning iCloud sync off does not delete local or cloud data. System backups and iCloud services depend on your Apple settings and terms.
When you choose a background image, Tickow uses the system photo picker. A copy of the selected image is stored on your device for use in the app and is included in optional iCloud sync. Ambient sounds are generated and played on the device; the app does not record your microphone.
The timer requests optional local notification permission to alert you when time is up. You can change this permission in system settings. Notification delivery and sound depend on those settings.
Trial access, purchases, and restoration use Apple StoreKit. Tickow uses verified transaction information from Apple on the device to determine access to features. It does not receive your card or bank details. Apple’s payment and service processing is subject to Apple’s privacy terms. The trial does not automatically charge you or start a subscription.
You can delete notes in the app and remove the selected background photo in settings. While sync is enabled, note deletions are also sent to your other devices. Versions preserved from simultaneous conflicting edits remain only in the receiving device’s “Recovered versions” list and can be deleted there. You can also manage cloud copies through Apple’s iCloud storage management. You can reset the timer and stopwatch.
Deleting the app from your device may remove local app data; system backups and Apple purchase records are governed separately by their own settings and rules. Ending the trial does not delete your notes.
If you choose to contact us by email outside the app, we receive your email address and the message you send so that we can respond to your request.
